stupid pnc

I am really happy that it started cooling off. Heat and humidity are just too much to handle with school. Is Weh 7500 feeling any better? I bet that was close to hell since the entire room gets hit by the sun. The maintence dudes finally fixed our windows so now I don't have to prop them open with a binder and my umbrella.

I am thinking about just buying ML for the Working Programmer. Everyone says it's better than the Hansen and Rischel book, but I don't know if I want to spend money on it. It's like $25 on the internet but still... I guess I'll read some of the Hansen and if it doesn't seem to be very good, I'll buy the other. I don't like the idea of having to dip into my birthday money for a textbook when I already have one for the class. I could just nab it from the library.

I am not thrilled with PNC bank. Last night I tried to use my student ID to withdraw money because I spent the time on friday to get it set up to do that, only it said my card had been deactivated. I figured I would just wake up early and head over to the PNC dudes in the bottom of the UC at 8:30 and it would all be kosher since I didn't have a class till 9:30, only for some reason Thursdays they don't open till 10:00. The rest of the week they open at 8:30. I was pissed. I could have slept in. So I decided to go at lunch seeing as I have a 2 hour lunch. Before I go to the PNC place, I checked my mail just in case my other card came in because I could just use that, but my mailbox was bare. I went to the dudes waited for like 5 people to go through then they checked my card and told me it was fine and to just go try it on another ATM. I did, then when it didn't work, I had to wait in line for 5 more people. Then I went in and they checked it again, and made me change my pin and told me if it didn't work after that, I was sol. I did not want to be shit out of luck since I only had $2 in my wallet, and $274 in my account. So when it didn't work for the third time I was very upset and left. For some reason I decided to check my mailbox again, and lo and behold, there was my new debit card and it worked. And then I found $75.
